What kind of offerings does FlowPlay have?

FlowPlay Game Licensing Overview

FlowPlay has built a virtual world where people play Flash games to win virtual items. We've licensed over 100 games so far and invite all Flash Developers to submit their games for our review. We are very selective, however. Unlike some sites that try to put up hundreds of games with some that are great and some that are not, we only want killer games. Don't send us your alpha but do send us your beta when you think you're a few weeks away from having a final version.

Here's how we work.

Licensed Games -- We pay a flat yearly fee to provide your game to our customers at FlowPlay.com. This is guaranteed money that you get as soon as you sign our contract. This is a non-exclusive deal -- we only want to use the game at FlowPlay. We do ask that the game not contain any links to other sites but we're happy to provide branding for the developer. We have a small snippet of ActionScript that we ask you to put into your game so that our servers can read the scoring into our system. We like to do a one year deal that can be expanded to 3 years if our players really like the game.

Sponsored Games -- We are interested in Sponsored Games that we can use to promote FlowPlay outside of our network. While this is an exclusive deal, what we have done in the past is to have the developer "skin" their existing game for us with a theme that is different from any presentation they've done with the game elsewhere. We pay a premium for this Sponsorship and will work with the developer to polish the game including giving them access to some of our artists to create additional graphics.

Work for hire -- We have a couple of ideas that we'd like to see built. If you are a talented Flash game developer with at least one great game under your belt, we'd consider hiring you to build a game for us. We expect to pay $5,000-$15,000 for this kind of work.
